Everwas

Open-source remote monitoring and management for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Self-hosted, one static agent binary per endpoint, and a device history that can answer what you knew as well as what was true.

Monitor a fleet

Agents report heartbeats every 30 seconds and telemetry every minute: CPU, memory, disk, network, and service state. Threshold alerts with duration windows and cooldowns reach you by email, webhook, ntfy, or gotify. Start with the quickstart.

Act on any machine

Open a real terminal in the browser, run scripts across hundreds of endpoints, and schedule jobs that fire on the agent’s own clock even while it is offline. See running scripts.

Ask about the past

Every inventory fact carries two time axes: when it was true on the machine, and when the server learned it. After an incident those are different questions with different answers. Query device history.

Bring your assistant

An opt-in MCP server lets an AI assistant query the fleet and, with explicit confirmation, act on it. Scoped API keys, dry-run previews, every call audit-logged. Enable the MCP server.

The server is AGPL-3.0, the agent is Apache-2.0, and contributions are accepted under the Developer Certificate of Origin. There is no source-available license waiting to close the door behind you. The licensing page explains why the split.
